The most common Problems and Questions

I have "Initialization is failed with error code -2" . What should I do?

1. Make sure that your account is properly activated in the "Activation" page of our member zone.

2. When your account /demo or real/ is activate you should restart your MT4 terminal!

3. If the "Initialization is failed with error code -2" error is still there and this is a demo account, but you can not see "Demo Account" in the left bottom corner of your MT4 terminal, then you should try to activate this account as real account too in the "Activation" page. This is necessary, because there is an issue related to some brokers whose demo accounts look like real accounts for the MetaTrader 4 terminal.

If the error is still there, you should open a support ticket and you should send us a screenshot from your MT4 terminal.

I have "Unsupported currency pair ... " alert , but the robot is started on a supported symbol (EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY, USDCHF, USDCAD, NZDUSD, AUDUSD).

This usually happens on Monday morning. There are two possible solutions for this:

1. Restart the MT4 terminal a few times until this message disappears.

2. Change the value of the parameter UseCustomPair to TRUE and change the value of the parameter UseSettingsFrom with the name of the currency pair on which the robot works. For examples - if you run WallStreet Forex Robot on EURUSD then you should make the following modifications:

- UseCustomPair = true
- UseSettingsFrom = EURUSD

You should do it for all charts where you run WallStreet Forex robot. Of course you should enter the correct currency pair name.

1. GBPUSD  - UseCustomPair = true - UseSettingsFrom = GBPUSD 2. USDCHF - UseCustomPair = true - UseSettingsFrom = USDCHF 3. USDJPY - UseCustomPair = true - UseSettingsFrom = USDJPY

4. USDCAD - UseCustomPair = true - UseSettingsFrom = USDCAD 5. NZDUSD - UseCustomPair = true - UseSettingsFrom = NZDUSD 6. AUDUSD - UseCustomPair = true - UseSettingsFrom = AUDUSD

I can see the "WallstreetForexRobot" name with a smile face in the right top corner of the chart, but I can not see the gray information window of the robot in the top left corner of the chart.

1. make sure that "WALLSTREET.dll" is placed in the "expert/libraries" folder of the installation folder of your MT4 terminal. Also, make sure that the name of the dll file is exactly "WALLSTREET.dll", not "WALLSTREET(1).dll", or something else.

2. Restart your MT4 terminal!

If you still can not see the grey information window of the robot on the left, then you should open a support ticket and send us a screen shot from your MetaTrader 4 terminal and the log files, which are located in "experts/logs" folder in the installation directory of your MT4 terminal.

My Expert Advisor is active but It doesn’t open any trades

If you are using the 3.9 version of the WallStreet Forex Robot, you should know that it has a new parameter MaxAccountTrades and its default value is 3. This means that if you have 3 or more opened trades, the EA will not open a new one. To solve this, you can set a higher value for the MaxAccountTrades parameter and then the EA will be able to open the number of trades lower or equal to the set value.

If this does not help, you should send us a screenshot from your MT4 terminal and the log files, which are located in "experts/logs" folder in the installation directory of your MT4 terminal.

Which broker should I use with your Expert Advisor ?

You are free to choose a broker you want as long as it provides a Meta Trader 4 terminal for trading. Always inspect carefully the broker before choosing it, make sure you know well its settings. The tighter spread it offers, the better for you. Try to avoid brokers who manipulate the current rate, this may lead to some significant losses in your account. Always make tests with demo accounts for a few weeks before start trading with real money. This will help you get used to the Forex trading and figure out which broker is most appropriate for you.

Can I change my account number, or it is linked to one broker forever?

You are free to modify, delete or add a live account number as long as you have a total up to the number you’ve purchased. There is no restriction on that. You are also free to create as many demo accounts as you wish.

Do I have to stop the EA during heavy news days and do they influence on the total performance ?

It is not necessary to stop the EA during these periods. Any news or events should not reflect negative because of the EA's trading logic. The past 12 years back-tests contain all the market news and this hasn't reflected negative on the total performance.

Which settings should I choose for best performance ?

We recommend using the default settings. They are tested from our developers and experts and provide best performance. However, you are free to make changes on them, but always make some tests with demo account before using them on your live accounts.

Note that trading with different brokers gives different results. This is absolutely normal, because there are too many factors which influence on this.

I use a 5-digit broker, do I have to change any settings?

It doesn’t matter whether your broker is 4 or 5-digit. The WallStreet Forex Robot calculates automatically everything. Therefore, it is not needed to change the lot size.

FixedLots or AutoMM? Which one is better?

If you want to trade with the same lot size every time, then you should use the FixedLots parameter. However, if you want to use a Money Management and trade with risk level, then you should use the AutoMM option. Let’s say you want to trade with 5% of risk level, you set AutoMM=5. Then the EA would risk 5% of your free margin for 100 pips loss. This means that if your balance grows, so the lot size will. For example, if your free margin is $10 000 and you use AutoMM=5, then your trading lot would be 0.5 lots.

NOTE: If AutoMM is greater than 0(zero), then the FixedLots parameter is not taken in consideration!
